Sakata is a leading vegetable seed company with a reputation for top-notch breeding and a long history of producing breakthrough vegetable varieties. The company wanted to regularly communicate about the companyâ€™s new products and overall commitment to breeding excellence with growers of select crops. In addition, the company wanted to drive traffic to its newly launched website.
Role of Meister Interactive:
The Meister Interactive team created more than a dozen, content-rich, custom enewsletters for Sakata. Meisterâ€™s custom content editor interviewed various members of Sakataâ€™s staff and wrote a series of articles that gave a behind-the-scenes look at Sakataâ€™s operations to illustrate the companyâ€™s commitment to quality.
Additionally, Meister developed several articles on vegetable-related topics ranging from watermelons and cantaloupes to peppers and tomatoes.
These stories were packaged in an enewsletter template designed by Meisterâ€™s art department and produced by Meisterâ€™s eMedia personnel. Each newsletter was then sent to a very targeted list created by combining Sakataâ€™s own email database with addresses targeted from American Vegetable Growerâ€™s list.
Sakataâ€™s year-long program created tens of thousands of impressions and thousands of click-through web visits from targeted growers. The company also developed a range of content for populating its new website and, through the monthly analytic reporting on the enewsletters, gained considerable insight regarding what content interests these growers value most for future activities.
